What do we do with the delay in the coming of Jesus’ kingdom? It would be so much easier to believe in Jesus if we could just see him take his throne. It would be so much easier to keep serving Jesus if we could see him. In this parable, Jesus teaches us that we need to be ready to serve the king now, in his absence – and that it will be thoroughly worthwhile if we do.
