How big a problem is a broken relationship with God? How easy is it to fix? Exodus 32-34 are some of the most foundational chapters in the Bible, written to give hope to people who had become God’s enemies. But before they give hope, they name the problem. And so despite our tendency to play down the problem and to hunt out easy solutions, this chapter teaches us that a broken relationship with God is catastrophic.
