An invitation into the Christian faith is a free gift with many blessings and it is made to all, regardless of previous religious pedigree or performance. It is the most radically inclusive offer in the world. It challenges Christians to break barriers in telling others to take this offer. Accepting it entails a recognition that Jesus Christ is Lord and forgiveness only comes through him and in his name. To that extent, the offer is also exclusive; it is only in the name of Jesus that forgiveness is offered and turning to him as Lord is demanded of everyone.
