In the closing vision of the New Jerusalem, we see a city unlike any other—no temple, no sun or moon, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its light. Flowing from God’s throne is the river of life, and on its banks grows the tree of life, bringing healing to the nations. Night is no more, and God’s servants reign with him forever, seeing his face and bearing his name. This is the eternal reality where God’s presence is the light that never fades, and his people live in perfect peace, purpose, and joy.
