As the climax of the call to praise God in Psalms 111–118, we are finally called to heartfelt, joyful thanksgiving to the Lord. But how is that possible? It’s possible because of the Lord’s suffering and rejected king we meet in the song. The Lord’s love for him results in salvation for his people and gives rise to authentic gratitude from all who belong to him.
