Scripture: Luke 11:37-54
This passage is described as one of the most solemn in the Bible as Jesus condemns and judges the Pharisees. What Jesus has in his sights is externalism and legalism. His exposé shows the Pharisees to be foolish, dangerous, burdensome and damaging. Most of all a legalistic religious system that will not recognise or receive Jesus stands condemned by him.
