It is a fundamental desire to want to have meaningful work. The young start out wishing to make a difference. The old approach retirement hoping to leave a legacy. Decay and death frustrate us at every point. But the resurrection of the dead makes it possible for our labour to not be in vain. The Apostle Paul desires that every Christian join him in the work of the Lord which stands forever.
In the Lord, your labour is not in vain
1 Corinthians 15:58
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
