Matthew tells us that Jesus came to ‘save his people from their sins’. To do this Jesus himself had to be sinless. Why is Jesus’ sinless life significant for our rescue from sin?

Matthew 1:21
21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
